This day will kick off our partnership with Reaching Out Now in hopes of creating a permanent club in Front Royal.
We hope you can be there!

When a rising chess student decided to bring chess to his neighborhood and peers, the Shenandoah Valley Chess Club and Loudoun County community rallied in support.
This nonprofit initiative is bringing FREE chess to K–12 students in Loudoun County, VA. Monthly meetups feature OTB peer-level games, individualized coaching at each player’s level, and support between meetups help youth strengthen focus, strategy, and problem-solving skills both on and off the board.
Whether just learning the moves or already competing, the mission is to grow “pawns into powerhouses” while building confidence, community, and a love for the game.
The next meeting is Monday, October 6 at Purcellville Public Library.
